History
“For eons, something truly gargantuan has dwelt beneath the crust of our meager world, devouring cities, stone, and artifacts alike. The earth trembles with its movement, our greatest of cities are not free from its wrath. All of dwarvenkind must work together to sate this horror before it destroys all we know.”
Little is known about the history of The Omnipede, save for legends of dwarven cities which have stood for millennia being entirely destroyed in a day by a mighty shaking of the earth.
Strangely enough, miners throughout history have claimed to see intricate and unopenable doors deep underground, heavily barricaded, and marked with the symbol of the Omnipede… A sense of foreboding dread is said to emanate from these constructs.
Appearance
Those who claim to have seen the Omnipede are more often than not, wrought with madness… Gibbering incoherently about some mighty creature of many legs seen within the deepest depths of mines, where unknown and toxic gases fill the air. Those brave enough to try and investigate these claims, tend to return in a similar state of hysterics, or refuse to tell of what they saw.
Providence
Krsshikk Does not make demands of his followers, nor does he entirely take note of them… His will is that of selfish and animalistic needs, not that of his followers. However, it seems that his hunger is not necessarily malicious nor benevolent in nature, and those who try to use his influence for such things or for the sake of order, become less and less coherent, or begin to lose their way while traversing underground tunnels.
… Krsshikk is almost never pleased to find visitors in the depths of the earth.
Cults of the Omnipede
Despite the fact that followers of the Omnipede who work towards any purpose other than basic animalistic hunger anger him, many do exactly that, and suffer the Endless One’s wrath for the betterment of their society… Attempting to satiate the beast to spare their cities, families, loved ones, and society. Though no “formal” church exists in the name of Krsshikk, there are many smaller cults, each of which work towards different goals, and different reimaginations of the Omnipede.
Cult of Trembling Destruction: These followers of the Omnipede preach about the inevitability of the Omnipede’s stirring, and actually advocate that we “speed this shit up”. They boast that the apocalypse will be the ascension for all living things. Though not outwardly violating the Endless One’s wishes, they are generally regarded as completely insane. They see Krsshikk as a savior, and a destroyer… and are incredibly unorganized.
