Dogma
Gaius is concerned with the gathering of knowledge, he wishes to keep things from falling into his Sisters domain. His followers share his aim, they dedicate their lives to chronicling everything and ensuring copies are made of everything. Gaius is also the God of Time, he is the keeper of Past, Present, and Future. Preserving the integrity of Time is thus under his purview, and his followers reflect this as well in the duties they undertake.
Appearance
The God appears as a robed man with many arms. His face is usually never visible though it is always staring down into a tome. On his hands there are eyes, so if you were to be in his presence they would be staring at you as the head continued to read.
His humanoid form is that of an old man of any race. He is often seen riding a carriage around the world offering to sell his stock. He is known for making deals in return for favors to collect later.
Providence
Those who anger Gaius will often find themselves punished with blistering headaches. Those who go back on their deals will receive the worst punishments, suffering from permanent debilitating migraines.
Those who please Gaius are blessed with revelations, and discovery.
Servants
Ovid
A Large Speckled Owl who tends to the Great Library of Time. He is very knowledgeable and has been known to provide aid to followers of Gaius in their time of need.
Tyrus, The Failed Seeker
Tyrus was a Seeker to have attended the Great Library of Time. After the library sank into the earth by his fault, Gaius punished Tyrus to forever be his messenger. Tyrus now is denied rest and was marked with the head of an elephant to denote his penance.
The Time Guardian
This great clockwork being is sometimes called into action when the fabric of time is at stake. The Stone of Time is inlaid into his skull. He will fight to any end to defend the integrity of Time.
The All-Seeing Archive
This abomination has never been seen by man. It does not answer directly to Gaius, in fact it was formed from the disagreement between Gaius and Paari. It is said this beholder of a creature knows and sees all. Even the gods do not know where this creature dwells, and its best to keep it that way.
Church of Gaius
Worshipers
Gaius is worshiped by anyone who considers themselves a collector of knowledge. Bookkeepers, historians, scholars, etc.
Obedience
Especially devout followers of Gaius will spend an hour of their morning making a copy of some work of writing, or chronicling new information.
Clergy
While some clerics and paladins exist, most of the clergy is made up of scholars and librarians. You can expect to find very knowledgeable people in the clergy of Gaius.
Temples and Shrines
The Temples of Gaius generally take the form of Great Libraries. So one exists in most major cities.
Shrines can be found in just about any library, even small village collections.
If a follower is to perform their daily obedience in the presence of a shrine, they receive a +2 on all knowledge checks for the duration of the day. They may also ask the shrine one question and if it is something the god would know and they feel like imparting the follower with the answer, it may be answered.
The Great Library of Time
Believed to be lost, this ancient Library is said to contain lost knowledge even Paari does not know. Tyrus the Seeker once sought to gain control of the Library and use its secrets to benefit his Kingdom. Gaius sealed the Library away vowing the minds of mortals are too corrupt to be trusted with such knowledge.
The Royal Archive of Rul’Tek-Dun
Aside from the Mythical Library of Time, This Royal Library is the largest collection of knowledge in the world. Kept deep in the Tarkaz Mountains, this Monastery has a strict set of rules. All that venture here to learn must swear off the temptations of the flesh. Sustaining themselves on bread, water and knowledge itself.
Holy Texts
The holy text of Gaius is a magical tome, the text is different from day to day. (When used to make a knowledge check roll a d100. If the roll is above a 75 you gain a +2 to the check, otherwise the book does not contain useful information)
The Text of Time
This is the Text that Gaius carries. It is said to have writings of things far into the future.

The Day of Discovery
This is an important day for the scholarly community of Chaldonia. A great festival is held in honor of The Chosen of Gaius for that year. The person who has advanced the world’s knowledge the furthest that year is selected as the Chosen.
Organizations
The Order of Thought
This monastic order are sworn to the preservation of knowledge. They are experts of mind and body. Once training is complete the members are sent into the world to guard and preserve knowledge themselves. Though some do remain to raise new generations of the order.
The Seekers
While this order of scholars have been disgraced by one of their ancient founders they still try to re-earn the favor of Gaius by doing their part in seeking and spreading knowledge.
The Cult of the Unspoken
This cult is bent on hiding knowledge away. They believe that not everyone deserves the power of knowledge and therefore it is their duty to preserve it in isolation.
